Clubhouse and General Information

Our comfortable Clubhouse, furnished to reflect its original Edwardian character, is a mine of history and tradition, but with all the convenience of modern facilities.
Catering

Royal St. David's provides the traditionally warm Welsh welcome to all its visitors and will be able to cater for all your needs. If dinners or special meals such as early breakfasts are required it is necessary to inform our caterers in advance and the lunch time service will be quicker if players let the staff know their choices before going out to play. The meals may be accompanied by a choice from a modestly priced but varied and stylish wine list or the well stocked bar.

Code of Behaviour

Without detracting from its informal and welcoming character, the Club does ask visitors to abide by the same simple rules that it expects of its own members:

1. Dress should be not less than "smart casual" both on the course and in the Clubhouse, and this does not include such items as jeans, tee shirts, football shirts and training wear. Tailored shorts are permitted on the course with long stockings or short white socks and in the Clubhouse up until 6:00pm.

2. Slow play is not acceptable at Royal St. David's, the maximum time for a three-ball being three and a half hours. Individual four-ball stroke play competitions are not permitted on the course.

3. We prefer our visitors to have handicap certificates and be members of recognised clubs, if this is not the case, please let us know in advance. Royal St. David's is a championship course and not suitable for beginners or those with high handicaps (over 24 for men or 36 for ladies).

4. Normal golf etiquette is expected with divots and pitch marks being repaired and bunkers left raked.

The Locality

Harlech makes a wonderful centre for the visiting golfer. With the traditional championship links at Aberdovey an hour to the south by road or rail and the thrilling cliff top course at Nefyn 45 minutes Northwest, there are three courses in the top 100 in the British Isles on hand. Add the charming links at Porthmadog, Pwllheli and Abersoch and the golfing crescent of the Cambrian Coast is complete.
